Head Bartender are responsible for the overall operations that lead to the success of a bar, and ensuring that the bar runs smoothly and reaches its target profit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensuring that the bar is clean and that both customers and staff follow industry-specific safety guidelines
2. Implement marketing strategies to attract customers such as beverage specials
3. Taking regular inventory to manage costs, order stock and implements internal controls
4. Training and supervising team members, as well as scheduling them to ensure the bar runs smoothly during busy times.
5. Providing cost-effective customer service that goes above and beyond expectations and understands how to react appropriately to different types of customers.
6. Communicates efficiently with a variety of stakeholders including customers, vendors, senior management, and team members
7. Manage and maintain the bar’s financial records, including cash handling, budgeting, pricing, and reporting

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit, required.
2. Proven experience as a bar manager or similar role.
3. Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
5. In-depth knowledge of beverage and food service.
6. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
7. Computer literacy.
8. Valid certification in bartending or mixology.
9. Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
10. Excellent customer service skills.
11. Ability to work a 40–50-hour flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
12. This job summary is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be requested to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by their supervisor or management.
13. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work occasionally outside in all weather conditions, ability to stand for extended periods, sit, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and push/pull/lift items weighing 50 pounds or more.
14. The position requires manual dexterity and auditory and visual skills.
