Head Baseball Coach

Description

The Head Baseball Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive, character-driven baseball program that reflects the values and mission of Gilbert Christian Schools. This position requires a strong commitment to mentoring student-athletes, fostering their athletic and spiritual growth, and promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the baseball program, including practices, games, and off-season conditioning. 
• Model and instill Christian values in student-athletes, integrating faith into coaching and team activities. 
• Mentor players academically, athletically, and spiritually, supporting their holistic development. 
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered team environment. 
• Coordinate with school administration, athletic department, and parents. 
• Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic regulations. 
• Manage team budget, equipment, and scheduling needs.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience at the high school level or higher preferred. 
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 
• A personal commitment to Christian faith and the ability to serve as a spiritual role model.

• Current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
• NFHS Completion certificate for Fundamentals of Coaching & Concussion in Sports
