Summary of Position:

Our Varsity baseball program has historically been one of the best private school programs in the state. We also field a JV team and have 4 middle school teams.  We routinely have high-level baseball players who sign scholarships to play at the next level.

The school seeks an experienced baseball coach who is involved in the community and dedicated to carrying out the Christ-centered mission of the school. This position is a full-time, exempt, salaried position beginning in the summer of 2025. This position will report to the Director of Athletics. The coach will also work with our Facilities Coordinator to help keep our athletic grounds in excellent condition.

Job Details:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Run a full off-season program from August-December.
• Helping hire sub-varsity and middle school coaches
• Communicate expectations to players and parents
• Evaluating performance with suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positivity and motivation
• Encouraging participants to gain and develop skills, knowledge and techniques
• Ensuring that participants train and perform to a high standard of health and safety at all times
• Inspiring confidence and self-belief
• Acting as a role model, gaining the respect and trust of the people you work with
• Working to a high legal and ethical standard at all times, particularly in relation to issues such as child safeguarding and health and safety requirements
• Assisting with our Facilities Coordinator to help keep our Athletic grounds pristine (mowing, power washing, weed eating, etc.)
• Planning and running programs of activities for groups and individuals
• Organizing a competitive non-district schedule

Requirements

Required Experience, Degree, and Skills:

• Head Coaching experience is preferred
• Organization and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude towards students, staff, and faculty
