Head Coach Women’s Basketball

Lyon College invites applications for an immediate appointment as the full-time head coach of its women’s basketball program. The primary responsibilities of the head coach include game day preparation, conducting practices, scheduling games, and recruiting for the women’s basketball program. Additional responsibilities include teaching a limited number of physical education courses and other duties as assigned. Applicants must have a combination of at least five years of collegiate basketball coaching/playing experience and an understanding of recruiting student athletes at a small, liberal arts college.  A bachelor’s degree is required with a preference for a master’s degree. 

Lyon College is located in Batesville, Arkansas, a safe and historic town of 10,000 that serves as commercial, medical, social, and governmental hub for an eight-county area and named by USA Today as the best city in which to live in Arkansas. The College currently enrolls almost 700 undergraduate students from 24 states and 16 foreign countries. Entering freshmen have an average high school GPA of 3.6 and an average ACT composite of 24 and SAT score of 1117.
