🏌️ Head Golf Coach – Haskell Indian Nations University
Location: Lawrence, KS 66046 (Haskell Indian Nations University)
Nearby Cities: Kansas City, MO 64106 • Topeka, KS 66603




About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Head Golf Coach to lead the men’s and women’s golf programs at Haskell Indian Nations University (HINU). The coach will plan, organize, and direct all aspects of the golf program, ensuring student-athletes excel both athletically and academically.



Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical and tactical golf instruction.

  • Recruit and retain talented student-athletes.

  • Support student-athlete academic progress and career development.

  • Oversee team travel, scheduling, and compliance with NAIA and university regulations.

  • Manage equipment, apparel, and program administration.

  • Serve as a mentor, modeling leadership and sportsmanship.




Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).

  • Prior intercollegiate golf coaching or playing experience required.

  • Valid driver’s license; ability to operate vans/buses.

  • Must pass a federal background check.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

  • Commitment to student development on and off the course.




Compensation:


  • Competitive Firm-Fixed Price annual contract.

  • Travel expenses during competition covered by the Athletic Department.

  • Contract period: September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026, with option years through 2030.
