Job Summary:

The Head Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing daily lifeguard operations, ensuring the safety of all aquatic facility patrons, and assisting with the supervision and training of lifeguard staff. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining safety standards, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of lifeguards to ensure consistent safety and performance.
• Monitor aquatic areas to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies when necessary.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the pool, equipment, and facilities.
• Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to lifeguards.
• Maintain detailed incident and accident reports, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulations.
• Lead in-service training sessions and emergency drills.
• Serve as the point of contact for patron concerns or disciplinary actions.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures of the aquatic facility.
