Job Description - Head of Business Development

Position Summary

Samsung TV Plus is a premium global entertainment service committed to delivering exceptional experiences for everyone and every moment. As a leader in FAST with more than 100 million monthly active users, Samsung TV Plus offers thousands of shows and movies on-demand all in one place. The streaming service carries over 4,300 ad-supported linear channels across 30 countries and is accessible exclusively on active Samsung devices. Samsung TV Plus is the exclusive FAST home to curated channels and live events including the 2025 Jonas Brothers’ JONAS 20 Tour, Letterman TV, Conan O’Brien TV, The Ringer from Spotify, BillboardTV, and top digital Creators featuring Mark Rober TV, Dhar Mann TV and Michelle Khare’s Challenge Accepted. Samsung TV Plus is available on Samsung TVs, Galaxy devices, Samsung Smart Monitor, and Family Hub.

  • Define and lead global strategic partnerships and business development strategy, identifying and executing transformative partnerships that drive long-term growth, innovation, and market expansion.
  • Partner closely with regional business development leaders to ensure alignment on global partnership priorities, go-to-market strategies, and partner engagement.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing U.S. strategic partnerships and business development team, setting clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and strategic direction to ensure strong pipeline development, partnership execution, and measurable business impact.
  • Establish operating frameworks and best practices that enable collaboration across regional partnership teams.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic partnerships including opportunity sourcing, business case development, negotiation, deal structuring, execution and ongoing partnership development and expansion.
  • Draft/redline agreements in close partnership with Legal; Lead negotiations with executive counterparts and represent all aspects of the deal.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations with senior executives at partner organizations to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align partnership initiatives with broader company priorities and ensure successful partner launches and integrations.
  • Oversee the execution of all aspects of the deal; Act as point coordinating with the relevant teams (e.g. Programming, Marketing, Ops) to ensure a successful close and deal compliance
  • Proactively identify and creatively solve for any issues and potential risks that would impede the success of the deal or adversely affect the business.
  • Develop compelling narratives and presentation materials and represent recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure partnership success, revenue contribution, and strategic impact.
  • Continuously optimize partnership portfolio to maximize growth, efficiency, and long-term value.

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred but not required
  • 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working at the intersection of content and tech; deep knowledge and relationships within the digital, TV, and Feature Film community
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to clearly and simply convey complex concepts
  • Proven negotiation skills and deal execution
  • Ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders internally/externally; Ability to strongly influence others and move organizations behind their goals
  • Set priorities and creatively problem solve for several time-sensitive matters
  • Ability to adjust priorities/tactics/solutions based on a constantly evolving environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across global and cross-function teams
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams, with a strong commitment to mentorship, coaching, and talent development

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Los Angeles, CA is expected to be between $320,000 and $340,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
