Join Our Team

You will be our Head of Claims Governance and Oversight responsible for building out and improving upon operational claims processes and oversight across a broad portfolio of MGA/Programs, run-off and active reinsurance and insurance relationships with different regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.   The ideal candidate would be an insurance professional with technical claims and operational leadership experience, who would join as an integral part of a global and diverse Claims Leadership Team. This position will have direct and dotted line reporting relationships.   This position will report to the Global Head of Claims.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain a Claims Governance and Oversight team (US-based with dotted line reporting relationships in the U.K. and Europe) who can respond to changing business demands, volume changes, and international business requirements.
  • Multiline claims technical and operational experience (A&H, P&C, Marine) to include direct and reinsurance
  • Global background to include North American, Bermuda, London Market and European technical claims exposure is preferred
  • Participation in helping support and implement multiple new claims handling and processing technology systems
  • Management of a global team and their deliverables to include:
    • analytics support, litigation management tracking and reporting, compliance reporting, etc.
    • Large Loss and claims financial reporting functions
    • Internal and external audit presentation of results and validation of compliance
    • Solvency II and Blueprint 2 compliance oversight from a claims perspective
    • Experience in managing Legacy LPT deals from a claims operational, oversight and administrative perspective.
    • Contract management for third party administrators, consultants and suppliers
    • London Market management of KPIs, Lloyd’s/Managing Agent relationship and deliverables to remain in good standing
    • Management of business continuity and catastrophic claims management procedures, which includes training and updating of the claims team
  • Comfortable presenting preparing, tracking and presenting claims results for operational functions to include all manner of auditing, MGA/Program/Reinsurance due diligence, data
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and problem solve complex claims workflow and process problems from a strategic and tactical perspective
  • Helping to source the right talent for the role and to work closely with recruiters to build an Operations team
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring to develop leadership skills—whether for claims or other disciplines
  • Other duties that may be necessary as business appetite and volume changes

Your Skills and Abilities Should Include:

  • 15 or more years of technical claims and operational claims leadership experience, across multiple lines and jurisdictions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • English proficiency is required, but a multi-lingual skillset is helpful in the role.
  • Some US and International travel may be required
