Key Responsibilities This confidential client is currently seeking a talented and dynamic Head of Human Resources to lead our HR department. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of HR principles, extensive experience in the construction or home products industry, and a commitment to fostering a positive work culture.
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance. Lead the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market. Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure workforce planning aligns with business objectives. Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and career development. Drive initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, morale, and retention. Oversee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation packages. Stay informed about industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and policies. Manage HR budgets and resources effectively to maximize departmental efficiency and effectiveness. Lead and mentor HR team members to develop their skills and capabilities.
Professional Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification preferred. Proven experience as an HR leader, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HR Leadership Roles. In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives. Solid understanding of talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
