About the job:
The Head of IT is responsible for defining and executing the overall technology strategy across the Group’s portfolio of companies. This role ensures scalable, secure, and efficient IT operations while enabling business growth through standardization, modernization, and strategic alignment.
Operating within a decentralized, acquisition-driven environment, the Head of IT will balance governance with flexibility—supporting multiple business units with varying levels of IT maturity.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Strategy & Leadership
Define and implement the Group’s IT strategy aligned with business objectives
Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on technology investments and risks
Lead IT transformation initiatives across portfolio companies
Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks and standards
2. Infrastructure & Operations
Oversee all IT infrastructure (cloud, on-prem, networks, endpoints) across the Group
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems
Standardize tools, platforms, and vendors where appropriate
Manage IT budgets, cost optimization, and vendor relationships
3. Cybersecurity & Compliance
Define and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Oversee risk management, incident response, and disaster recovery planning
Conduct regular audits and security assessments
4. M&A IT Integration
Lead IT due diligence for acquisitions
Develop and execute post-acquisition IT integration plans
Drive synergies through consolidation and standardization
Ensure smooth onboarding of new companies into the Group ecosystem
5. Business Systems & Applications
Oversee enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, collaboration tools, etc.)
Drive adoption of modern workplace technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, cloud platforms)
Partner with business units to improve operational efficiency through technology
6. Team Leadership & Development
Build and lead a high-performing IT team (central and/or distributed)
Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence
Manage external partners and managed service providers
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles
Proven experience managing IT across multiple business units or companies
Strong experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and Microsoft ecosystem
Experience in M&A environments and post-acquisition integration is highly desirable
Deep understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise systems
Strong financial acumen and experience managing IT budgets
