Job Description - Head of Local Growth

Lead one of Neighbor’s fastest‑growing channels. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Head of Local Growth is responsible for scaling Google Maps and unlocking the next wave of local channels. You’ll manage a high‑output team that turns new locations and growth bets into repeatable revenue, helping Neighbor disrupt a $500B industry.

What You'll Do

    • Scale Google Maps by growing and optimizing thousands of Google Business Profiles so they outrank competitors and convert searchers into bookings.
    • Lead and coach a high‑output team—continuing to raise standards, accelerate speed, develop team members, and discover innovations.
    • Own the demand side of winning key partner pilots—leverage new and existing channels to fill pilot locations with renters (helping to win pilots and unlock full portfolios).
    • Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Data to improve phone and web conversion rates, ship new features and automations, uncover insights, and improve operations for your channels.
    • Own a portfolio of growth bets. Lead the prioritization of hypotheses and tests, generate learnings, and scale winners.
    • Grow walk-in reservations by scaling and iterating on location signage programs.
    • Own channel performance reporting, build dashboards, and share insights that keep the company, executives and board informed.

You'll Thrive If You

    • Can lead people and processes—motivate people to do their best work, oversee complex projects to success, and introduce automation (at the right time) to multiply impact.
    • Are a systems thinker who can identify and navigate constraints, feedback loops, tradeoffs, and points of leverage.
    • Have a nose for value and focus on the highest leverage initiatives. Curious, adaptable, and not afraid to say no in the interest of focus.
    • Bias toward action—you get hands on, prioritize speed to impact, and think in hours, not weeks.

Nice to Haves

    • Startup or high‑growth, high-speed ops background.
    • Proven experience scaling local channels such as Google Maps, Facebook Marketplace, Google LSAs, local SEO, etc.
