Job Title: Head of Maintenance  - Clair Tappaan Lodge-Aperture Hotels

Summary 

Maintenance Technician responsibilities include all aspects of maintaining the physical status of the property. You will address any maintenance issues in the rooms, in the building itself or outdoor areas including machinery, air conditioning units, refrigerators, landscaping, vehicles, etc.… Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests while keeping the property well maintained and functioning properly. 

Essential Functions 

• 
  

  Repair case goods such as nightstands, beds, desks and dressers 

  
  

• 
  

  Repair Paint, plumbing, carpentry and electrical issues 

  
  

• 
  

  Practice proper work safety according to CalOsha standards 

  
  

• 
  

  Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and assets 

  
  

• 
  

  Operate, maintain and repair snow machinery  

  
  

• 
  

  Perform snow removal as necessary 

  
  

• 
  

  During the “no snow” period maintain and clean the trails  

  
  

• 
  

  Weather permitting cut wood and store for guests use in the Main Lodge and Hutchinson Lodge 

  
  

• 
  

  Clean carpets, linens, and walls as needed 

  
  

• 
  

  Assist other departments as needed 

  
  

• 
  

  Clean common areas, restrooms, and hallways as directed 

  
  

• 
  

  Maintain inventory and keep accurate records of repairs, detailed use of software necessary 

  
  

• 
  

  Follow hotel security guidelines 

  
  

Education, Experience, Other Requirements 

• 
  

  Flexibility to work in shifts and report for scheduled shifts 

  
  

• 
  

  Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards 

  
  

• 
  

  Excellent organizational and communication skills 

  
  

• 
  

  Experience using maintenance work order tracking software

  Ability to follow instructions 

  
  


• PAY RATE IS A RANGE, FINAL PAY RATE WILL BE COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Preferred

  Contractors License or trade certificates preferred

  Work experience as a Maintenance Technician in a Hospitality setting

 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This position regularly requires long hours, holidays, and weekend work. Demand and room occupancy dictates final scheduled hours. 

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
