We’re partnering with some of the largest pharmacy benefit managers and payers in the nation, revolutionizing how healthcare interactions occur by eliminating human delays and inefficiencies. Our small, elite team of founders and engineers have previously launched and exited successful healthcare startups including Rupa Health and Canvas Medical. We are now scaling rapidly following a major funding round.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Pharmacy Operations to build, scale, and lead our pharmacy operations function. This is a pivotal role for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about transforming healthcare delivery. You'll be instrumental in developing and optimizing our pharmacy and prior authorization processes, ensuring exceptional quality, and driving the expansion of our services to new therapeutic areas and benefit categories.

What You'll Do: Impact in Your First 3-6 Months

In your initial months, you'll be instrumental in setting the foundation for scalable and high-quality clinical operations. Your key contributions will include:

• Launching Critical Features: Partner closely with our engineering team to design and launch our prior authorization appeals feature, ensuring it's clinically sound and operationally efficient.

• Building Operational Excellence: Develop and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team who handles tasks when the AI can’t yet manage them alone. 

• Optimizing BPO Performance: Directly manage and mentor our BPO team, driving continuous improvement in their processes, assessing quality, and monitoring performance with metrics.

• Enhancing AI Accuracy: Collaborate with our AI and engineering teams to provide clinical expertise that directly improves the accuracy of our AI for pharmacy prior authorization responses.

• Streamlining Pharmacy Flow: Take ownership of and improve our pharmacy workflow, ensuring seamless and efficient patient experiences.

What You'll Own: Driving Growth Beyond 12 Months

As our Head of Clinical Operations, you'll be at the forefront of our expansion and strategic initiatives, including:

• Strategic Expansion: Lead the charge in expanding our services into the medical benefit, beyond our initial focus.

• New Service Lines: Drive the implementation and operationalization of new offerings, such as copay cards and the expansion into different therapeutic categories beyond GLP-1s.

• Clinical Leadership: Cultivate and nurture relationships with all clinical advisors and specialty advisors, leveraging their expertise to inform and strengthen our clinical programs.

What you'll bring on Day 1:

• Pharmacy Prior Authorization Expertise: Demonstrate a deep, practical understanding of pharmacy prior authorization processes. You should be able to take a Wegovy PA form and a patient's clinical record and accurately complete it, providing insightful explanations of what constitutes a strong submission.

• Leadership Acumen: Possess proven experience in managing large teams, with a strong track record of ensuring high-quality operations and driving performance.

• Pharmacy Operations Background: Extensive experience in pharmacy operations, preferably having led a team reviewing prior authorizations from inside a PBM
