About the Role We believe a workplace food program is something employees should love and look forward to every day. Powered by technology and a network of over 2,000 restaurants, Company feeds hungry people at work through our ongoing food programs located within companies and office buildings. Every day each location is served by different restaurants that come onsite and serve fresh lunch from unique menus. Company compliments our popup service with several new business verticals, expanding the way we meet hungry customers each day. Company operates in over 20 major US cities with plans for continued expansion. Who We Are Looking For: Reporting to the President, the Head of Workplace Convenience Services (WCS) is responsible for leading Company's effort to bring to mass market a marketplace business that disrupts the current office vending, pantry, and beverage space. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded leader to scale a high-impact new product with a large addressable market. As the leader of this product, you will be responsible for the long term vision which includes developing the technology product and processes that will create sustainable competitive advantages.
This role owns the financial model and unit economics, taking the WCS product from introduction phase to growth phase. You will also be responsible for recruiting and managing a high performing team and achieving measurable revenue and profitability results. What You’ll Be Doing: Get things done with a lean team. Manage the now and plan for the future.Develop and articulate a comprehensive strategic vision for WCS, aligning with overall objectives.Take full ownership of the WSC product, including technology, client sales, partner sales, account management, financial models and budgeting, competitive landscape, and team management.Implement efficient and scalable processes, from sales to invoicing to collections, in order to optimize operations and fuel growth.Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions, continuously optimizing strategies and tactics for improved performance. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health and success of WCS.Provide regular and clear updates to the executive team on the progress, challenges, and achievements of the product. Communicate strategic plans, milestones, and potential risks, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Corporate Operations and Finance & Accounting.Travel up to 25% Who You Are: Previous experience as a founder or launching a product a plusDomain knowledge in vending, pantry or food service a plusDemonstrated grit and perseverance, ability to pivot quickly and adapt to changeHave deep experience in sales or sales leadership in a B2B businessAbility to talk to and sell the vision to early clients, partners, and employees, listening and adapting the product and pitchPossess a solid understanding of unit economics and business modelsDemonstrate strong business acumen and proven experience in creating a financial model from scratchManage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall product is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.Demonstrate excellence in implementing rigorous and disciplined performance measures / metrics that benchmark performance and create accountability.Act as a forward-thinking analyst of the business, broader market, and the competitive landscapeWhat We’ll Hook You Up With: Competitive market salary and stock options based on experienceComprehensive health, dental and vision insurance plans401k retirement plan with company matchPaid maternity and parental leave benefitsFlexible spending accountsCompany-issued laptopDaily subsidized lunch program (ours!)
