We are currently seeking candidates for the upcoming school year! Join us to lead and inspire as a Head Start Associate Education Manager! With your supervisory and ECE experience and keen eye for compliance, you'll oversee and monitor multiple site coordinators and sites, ensuring top-quality educational experiences and staff development. Estimated start date: Late July-early August 

Location: Redmond/Prineville 

Compensation: $37.33/hour-Exempt, (Plus $0.50/hour for Spanish Bilingual ability),  

Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week), subject to normal school furloughs

NeighborImpact Head Start Overview

The Head Start and Early Head Start program strengthens families and closes the achievement gap for over 500 of Central Oregon’s most vulnerable and at-risk children aged 0-5 and pregnant mothers. Head Start/Early Head Start integrates high-quality early education and family engagement with other critical services.

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking candidates for the upcoming school year with an estimated start date in early August 2025.

This position is responsible for managing multiple site coordinators to ensure effective classroom program operations, staffing, and monitoring. The role involves coordinating staff development activities and ensuring classroom/site-based monitoring is completed to promote quality services and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities include coordinating the completion of CLASS observations and follow-up consultations in partnership with other associate managers, providing CLASS and monitoring data to inform the program’s training and staff development plan, and overseeing the program’s classroom substitute system and behavior support system.

Requirements

  

Required

  • Minimum required education is an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (human development, child and family studies, social work, sociology/psychology, education) with a minimum of 35 college quarter credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related classes. 
  • Diploma and transcripts will be required to validate Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Related field and to verify ECE/Related coursework
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an Early Childhood setting and must have at least one year experience as a lead teacher (or equivalent) in a Head Start Classroom
  • One year experience in a social services field, or home visiting experience required
  • Two years of supervisory experience required
  • Have CLASS Reliability Certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Must be available for a flexible work schedule to accommodate family needs, may include some evening or weekend hours
  • Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, and sitting on the floor to attend to children’s needs. This position is rated as active and occasionally requires the individual to lift 50 pounds
  • Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment:
  1. Valid driver’s license
  2. Proof of current auto insurance. 
  3. Food Handler’s Card
  4. Current enrollment in the OR Child Care Division-Criminal Background Registry (CBR)
  5. Access to reliable transportation required
  • Within 60 days of hire, Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is required
  • Above certifications must be kept current to remain employed
  • Must have an initial health examination, and a periodic re-examination (as recommended by health care provider) so as to assure that employees do not because of communicable diseases, pose a significant risk to the health or safety of others, that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation.

Preferred

  • Bachelors in ECE Preferred
  • Experience in design and delivery of training preferred
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Current or previous Head Start parent preferred
