Description
Pope Saint John Paul II is seeking a Head Women's Lacrosse Coach who will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive women's lacrosse program that aligns with the school's mission and values. This position requires a strong background in coaching lacrosse, leadership skills, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. The women's lacrosse coach will oversee all aspects of the lacrosse program, and should demonstrate the ability to build meaningful connections with JPII students, parents, prospective families, and the overall school community. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher
Requirements
- Serve as the face of the women's lacrosse program. Be a strong role model for the players and assistant coaching staff.
- Promote the women's lacrosse program within the school community, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission.
- Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) set forth for all aspects of women's lacrosse program.
-Lead and manage all aspects of the women's lacrosse program, including practices, game preparation, and competition strategies.
-Manage the women's lacrosse program operations, including equipment, scheduling, travel, and budgeting, in coordination with the Athletic Department and other coaching staff.
-Provide leadership and guidance to coaches at all program levels to ensure a cohesive coaching staff and program alignment.
-Collaborate with the coaching staff to implement new ideas and approaches into the women's lacrosse program.
-Actively seek out and identify coaching talent, including full-time faculty and staff members and community coaches, who can contribute to the program.
-Provide mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities to assistant coaches, fostering their professional growth and development.
-Organize and oversee youth clinics, summer camps, and summer development programs to build and develop the program's pipeline of talent and engagement.
-Build connections with middle school students to promote the sport and provide opportunities for younger students to engage with the program.
-Foster a team culture built on the school’s mission and values.
-Build rapport and strong relationships with all student-athletes on the team.
-Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
-Guide and support student-athletes pursuing women's lacrosse at the collegiate level, including the recruitment process, eligibility, and academic requirements.
-Maintain relationships with coaches and recruiters to advocate for student-athletes and connect them with opportunities.
