Overview

Weld metal parts together to fabricate or repair product by performing the following duties

Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts together using mig, and/or stick welding or any combination using both arc welding processes to fabricate or repair headers or header subassemblies.
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings, weld symbols and weld procedures
• Ability to operate pneumatic or electric grinders
• Removes metal with carbon arc gouging equipment and/or plasma gouging equipment
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
• Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.
• Position pieces with overhead or jib cranes.
• Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass American Society of Mechanical Engineering 1g Saw Plate Test
