Job Description - Health and Human Resources Specialist, Senior - BBH - Kanawha Co.

Under general supervision, this position will have the primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of behavioral health resources, coordinating the development and dissemination of resources that promote evidence-based practices, programs and policies leading to the promotion of positive mental health and the prevention, treatment and recovery of substance abuse and mental illness. The duties of this position will include improving access to resources for providers, consumers, and WV communities, promote evidence-based practice, coordinate, and lead technical assistance upon request on SA/MH resources, technical assistance/training, development, completion and review of all required plans, and reports. Monitors local program and client data for consumer driven quality services. This position will direct the development and work to establish a state-of-the-art user-friendly web-based resource center and will help maintain the BBH website through changes, updates, and design issues for usability. The position will also locate relevant, existing national resources and establish relationships with other such organizations for linkage and referral; develop user friendly, current, and relevant WV-specific materials to use for educational presentations and to further public awareness: and fill requests made by consumers and families, BBH grantees and communities for locating resources regarding best practices, policies, and program implementation. This position will serve as the program coordinator for the BBH team and as a program manager by serving as a resource for behavioral health promotion initiatives. This position will also perform other related duties as required.

Training:

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.

Substitution:

Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:

Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.

Substitution:

Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.
