Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager.
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager with Health and Safety monitoring activities.
- Assist the Health and Safety Officer and Manager with the management of fire/tornado safety throughout the buildings.
- Assist in Health and Safety audits and produce audit reports and follow up any actions.
- Assist with the coordination and management of health and safety supplies.
- Liaise closely with the Facilities Management team to manage issues relating to the facilities service provision, and specifically waste disposal, buildings, fire safety equipment, electrical testing and safety audit non-compliances.
- Provide clerical support to the Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Forum.
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager to maintain and coordinate any online training software and/or processes.
- Assist in the identification of need and preparation of risk assessments, compliance and training of staff, with particular reference to machine risk assessments and etc.
- Review, record checks and file as needed.
- Review relevant safety signage as requested by the Manager.
- Review and record the First Aid and spill kit provision across local plants.
- Maintain incident reports.
- Maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Great with working with management team and production members.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
- 2 years or more experience in a similar role is required.
- EMT experience is nice to have.
- Knowledge in station Ergonomics.
- Knowledge in updating station/ robot lock out tag out instructions.
- Involved in new hire orientations.
- Ensure mandatory training is completed and turned in on time.
- Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements/ standards.
- Completed OSHA 10 or 30 course.
- Knowledge completing 8D’s, creating corrective/ preventative action to avoid recurrence.
- Communication skills reporting out incidents/ environmental issues.
