Health And Safety Coordinator- Hybrid

Alaant Workforce Solutions is recruiting a Risk Management Consultant for our client's growing organization in Albany, NY.

As a Risk Management Consultant, you will not only play a crucial role in overseeing the assigned municipal entities within your designated territory but also have the opportunity to enhance your expertise. Your work will be instrumental in educating these entities to decrease claim frequency and severity, and you will be involved in various aspects of risk management, from evaluating work environments to developing and implementing effective procedures.

Hours and Benefits for the Risk Management Consultant:
Monday – Friday 35-hour work week (hybrid one day a week and 3rd Thursday of the month)
The salary is between $75,000 - $80,000.

Responsibilities for the Risk Management Consultant:
Schedule and track risk assessments, site inspections, and ergonomic assessments conduct pre-inspection audit assessments, and assist with safety coordinator development and implementation.
While conducting site visits, recommend and promote additional risk management resources, training, and overall suggestions at the member level.
Develop and administer safety training programs, both one-on-one and in group settings.
Produce detailed written evaluations of risk assessments, site inspections, and ergonomic assessments, including photos when applicable.

Requirements for the Risk Management Consultant:
Bachelor's degree in relevant occupational safety/risk management.
OSHA experience is a plus.
2+ years of experience working with municipal population preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience working with workers' compensation or similar insurance is preferred.
Must be able to travel within New York State- company car provided for travel.
Must be a New York State resident and hold a valid driving license.
