Health & Safety Coordinator - Mining Operations

What You'll Do:

• Champion workplace health and safety compliance, focusing on MSHA regulations
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs
• Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections (surface and underground)

• Lead accident investigations and document findings

• Accompany MSHA inspectors during quarterly and unscheduled site visits

• Evaluate hazards and recommend solutions to minimize risk

• Coordinate annual physicals and hearing tests for employees

• Support and maintain weekly/monthly health & safety reporting

• Maintain detailed and organized records of safety training, inspections, and compliance

• Collaborate across departments to foster a strong safety culture

• Stay up to date on local, state, federal, and MSHA health and safety regulations

What Were Looking For:

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven experience with MSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance

• Strong organizational skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines

• Comfortable using computers to track reports and communicate effectively

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-Have:

• Previous experience in mining or industrial settings

• MSHA Trainer Certification
