Visit the Bagdad town website to learn more.\n\n## What You Will Do\n\n * Direct employee engagement activities such as risk assessments and raising general safety awareness to employees, managers, and other stakeholders. \n * Conducts safety audits and inspects facilities within area of responsibility to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory laws. \n * Manage functions or projects and may have supervisory responsibilities. \n * Train staff from multiple divisions in safety procedures, including specialized safety training (e.g., confined space, LOTOTO) and Annual Refresher Training as required. \n * Inspect and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action. \n * Participate on cross-function teams to manage low-level incident investigation and root cause analysis. \n * Accompany MSHA/OSHA/State Mine Inspectors and document regulated field activities. \n * Conduct health and safety orientations, visit work sites and distribute literature to implement and promote safety and/or environmental policies and procedures. \n * May administer workers\u2019 compensation program for the company, including interacting with workers\u2019 compensation insurers, monitoring claims, developing, and administering loss prevention and rehabilitation management/monitoring programs, maintain files, and provide necessary support in defense of claims. \n * Perform other duties as required. \n\n\n\n## What You Bring To Freeport\n\n * High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of Health \u0026 Safety or related experience, OR \n * Associates degree and two (2) years of Health \u0026 Safety or related experience, OR \n * Bachelors degree in a related field \n\n\n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\nWhat We Offer You\n\nThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $64,000 - $87,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
