Health Care Attorney

Description

 Gordon Feinblatt’s Health Care Practice Group needs an experienced Health Care Law Attorney, preferably having spent 10 or more years advising clients on regulatory and transactional issues.  Administrative hearing experience is a plus but not strictly required. Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Maryland. 

A typical day for this position is a mix of fielding one-off questions from both institutional clients and individual practitioners navigating state and federal compliance challenges and long-term projects including Certificates of Need and government investigations.  This is a position working independently with minimal or no senior supervision but is part of a collaborative health care law team and a firm available to provide support as unique or unusual client challenges are presented.  

Our team spends most of its time: 

• Responding to inquires initiated by federal and Maryland agencies regarding licensure, fraud and abuse, and privacy issues       
• Advising clients on proactive fraud and abuse compliance 
• Structuring mergers and acquisitions and employment arrangements 
• Drafting policy documents and state and federal program applications  
• Providing strategic legal advice 

Our team has an existing stable of clients thus a significant book of portable business is not required but is considered a plus.  The successful candidate will be expected to attach to existing clients and over time expand the practice by adding new clients.
