Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an inspiring and strategic Health Care Compliance (HCC) Regional Sector Leader for Innovative Medicine, covering North America. This highly visible, enterprise‑critical role operates in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and spans multiple business units and functions across the IM sector.

The role will be based in either Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ, with frequent travel between sites and to Raritan and New Brunswick NJ as needed.

As a trusted advisor and key leader within the Innovative Medicine HCC organization, you will shape, influence, and elevate the compliance culture across the region. You will ensure adherence to all relevant HCC laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the promotion, marketing, and distribution of prescription medicines; interactions with health care professionals and government officials; anti‑corruption and anti‑kickback requirements; and other applicable statutory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion Compliance & Integrity Across NA

Reinforce the independence, visibility, and essential role of HCC across the enterprise. Lead the implementation of effective compliance programs for all companies under your remit—ensuring alignment across functions, regions, and the broader Innovative Medicine organization.

Strategic Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Global Company Group Chairs, senior NA leaders and HCC colleagues worldwide to anticipate risks, navigate complexity, and drive a strong culture of compliance. Ensure line‑of‑sight to key regional issues and lead cross‑IM initiatives that advance talent, operational excellence, and innovation.

Program Design, Oversight & Continuous Improvement

Oversee the design, execution, and enhancement of the Compliance Program to detect, prevent, and correct violations of laws, regulations, and policies. Deliver actionable insights to senior management, recommend improvements, and ensure robust internal controls to identify and prevent fraud, abuse, or misconduct.

Investigations, Monitoring & Corrective Actions

Lead follow‑up, oversight, and resolution of investigations—whether anonymous, for‑cause, or as directed by legal counsel. Partner with Law, HR, and business leadership to ensure consistent disciplinary actions and coordinate testing, monitoring, and ongoing program evaluation.

External Environment Leadership

Take an active, visible role in shaping the compliance landscape by engaging with industry associations, government bodies, and external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with Government Affairs and the Law Department on emerging trends and regulatory priorities.

Enterprise & People Leadership

As a key member of the IM HCC Leadership Team, oversee talent acquisition, coaching, and professional development across all levels. Develop the next generation of compliance leaders while fostering an inclusive, high‑performing team culture.

Broader Business Engagement

Engage with senior leaders across Sales & Marketing, Medical, Finance, Regulatory, Supply Chain, HCC, Legal, and GAA. Influence decision‑making, support strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance is embedded in business strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of compliance experience.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience and talent‑development track record.
  • Experience within Regulatory, QA, Health Care Compliance, Legal, or Finance strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry; knowledge of sales and marketing practices is valuable.
  • Working knowledge of HCC laws, FCPA/anti‑corruption requirements, FDA promotional regulations, and/or auditing or financial controls.
  • Experience with pricing, government contracting, privacy laws, or industry association policies is a plus.
  • Background in FDA advertising and promotional regulations for pharmaceutical products preferred.
  • Proven experience developing compliance systems and delivering high‑impact training programs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong influence and negotiation capabilities, and the ability to drive organizational change.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.
