- This position is responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring assigned DDS nursing staff, with a focus on supporting newly hired nurses during their first year.
- Under the guidance of the Nursing Manager, the role ensures consistency in training, monitors documentation and performance, and promotes quality health care services for DDS service recipients.
- Responsibilities include facilitating required trainings, overseeing case documentation, supporting transitions and hospital discharges, and analyzing health-related data such as ER visits and hospitalizations.
- The position will also assist in managing the federally mandated PASRR process, collaborate on community outreach and resource development, and provide training to internal and external partners.
- Additional duties include promoting evidence-based health practices, supporting service safeguards, and ensuring that individuals receiving DDS services are protected from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- This is a critical position that utilizes nursing expertise and knowledge of all Department of Human Services/DDS policy and practices in supervision of HCMN II staff charged with assessing the health and safety needs of DDS service recipients and recommending measures to safeguard the health and welfare of these service recipients.
- HCMN III position is responsible for supervision, development and training of assigned HCMN II staff to ensure that DDS nursing services meet all policy and procedure standards, and address risk mitigation and prevention.
