Job Description - Health Educator

The Vail Psychologist pllc.inen is seeking a passionate and experienced Health Educator to join our multidisciplinary team. We are a progressive mental health practice dedicated to providing holistic and integrative care to our clients.

As a Health Educator, you will be responsible for promoting and facilitating healthy behaviors and lifestyles among our clients. Your role will involve working closely with our team of psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement integrated treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations of clients' health needs, interests, and behaviors
Design, develop, and implement health education programs based on clients' needs and interests, utilizing evidence-based research and practices
Conduct individual and group sessions to educate clients on various health topics, such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, mindfulness, and self-care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for clients
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other relevant stakeholders to promote health education and prevention programs
Create and distribute educational materials, such as brochures, flyers, and educational videos, to enhance clients' understanding of various health topics
Monitor and track clients' progress and provide appropriate feedback and support
Stay updated on current trends and developments in health education and promotion to continuously enhance our programs and services
Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all client interactions, education sessions, and program evaluations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in health education or wellness promotion
Strong knowledge of health behavior change theories, evidence-based practices, and current health trends and issues
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
Passion for promoting health and wellness in individuals and communities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Familiarity with electronic medical records and data tracking systems is a plus
