Health Educator

The Seaway Valley Prevention Council seeks a creative and energetic individual to serve as a full-time Health Educator at the Horizons Youth Clubhouse. 

The Health Educator position involves working with youth members at Horizons Youth Clubhouse, facilitating presentations in various settings, designing programming for youth members, collaborating with community partners and local businesses, and working as part of the team in the program's day-to-day operations.

Applicants must enjoy working with youth, be creative and willing to try new things, and be willing to work as part of a team. Successful candidates must be comfortable with public speaking and enjoy working with the community. 

The position involves minimal travel for professional and staff development. Hours of the position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm during the summer months and school breaks, and adjust to 10:00 am - 6:00 pm when school is in session.

The minimum requirement is an associate's degree in Education, Public Health, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. 

The successful applicant must work towards their prevention credentials (CPP/CPS) upon hire.
