Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)

Our 100-bed care center is hiring an organized Full-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team on a long term care unit! In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.

There are Full-Time, benefit eligible positions available.  Hours: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm

Pay:  $20.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:

• Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Complete other tasks as requested.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) skills and requirements:

• Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
• Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Location: Chapel View is a part of Cassia and is located in the West Metro. Address: 605 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins, MN 55343
