Job Description - Healthcare Customer Service Representative

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our clients team as a Healthcare Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing support and assistance to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a strong desire to help others navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. Key Responsibilities:

Responding to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding appointments, medical records, billing, insurance coverage, and healthcare services
Providing guidance and assistance to patients in understanding their healthcare benefits, treatment plans, and medication instructions
Coordinating with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and resolve issues efficiently
Educating patients on available resources, support programs, and community services
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and concerns
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and healthcare regulations
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records software
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours:

Monday-Friday
40 hours per week
8:30am-5:00pm

Details:

Onsite
13 week contract with possibility to be extended
Located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego
Compensation $20.00-$22.00 per hour (DOE)
