Healthcare Environmental Services Lead

PCMS is seeking a dependable and motivated Team Lead / Supervisor to oversee housekeeping operations within medical facilities in the Lafayette area. This position is responsible for leading a team of environmental services staff, ensuring facilities are cleaned to healthcare standards, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to lead a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support housekeeping staff during assigned shifts


• Ensure all cleaning tasks meet healthcare and infection control standards


• Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and address any issues immediately


• Train new employees on proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols


• Assist with scheduling, coverage, and daily shift assignments


• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment


• Communicate with facility management and PCMS leadership regarding operational needs


• Address employee concerns and help maintain a positive team environment


• Ensure all employees follow company policies and procedures


• Complete reports and documentation as required

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred


• Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or janitorial work preferred


• Experience in medical or healthcare facilities is a plus


• Strong leadership and communication skills


• Ability to work independently and manage a team


• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required


• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–40 lbs


• Ability to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods
