Healthcare Project Architect

We are currently hiring a Healthcare Project Architect in our Architectural division. The Architectural Division at LaBella provides comprehensive planning and design services for a wide variety of markets, including Healthcare, Higher Education, Sports and Entertainment, Commercial, Multi-Family and Mixed-Use, Residential, and Municipal.

Be responsible for managing development and production of all architectural aspects of a multi-discipline project, including all drawings. specifications, and code reviews, with no assistance, and be capable of coordinating with other disciplines when the project manager is not available. This position will be responsible to review the architectural documents prior to submission to the client and governing jurisdictions for design and code completeness.

The overall expectations of this position are to work with a team to ensure that all aspects of the project are being met and completed. This position needs to be capable of delegating aspects of work to the Project Designer and Project Technician and coordinate with all other disciplines. The Project Architect will assist the Project manager with client meetings, design team meetings, and with construction administration. The Project Architect must be motivated and be capable of performing all duties with no guidance. The Project Architect must have a thorough understanding of the applicable building codes. It must be understood that assignments and hence supervision will differ from time to time.

Duties:

• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.

• Supervisory responsibilities as it pertains to completing projects.

• Assist the Project Manager in determining project staffing requirements.

• Implementation of the owners' program and subsequent needs from the user group meetings into construction documents.

• Sign and seal construction documents (Project Architect only).

• Prepare final drawings and specifications for issuance.

• Be additional client point of contact (Attend client meetings when PM is not available).

• Coordinate project team to ensure work is being performed and coordinated.

• Develop redlines for the entire project to be implemented by all.

• Perform all construction administration tasks.

• Perform OAOC coordination for all discipline work.

• Communicate with the project manager all design team workings.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Registered Architect in the state of Virginia
• 6-10+ years of experience
• Have thorough knowledge and understanding of Virginia building codes
• Strong technical design and construction document skills
• Well-developed project design and planning skills
• Excellent graphic presentation skills
• Proficient in Revit (AutoCAD also)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)
