Job Description - Healthcare Project Architect

This role is responsible for coordinating project documentation, leading technical development, integrating consultant work, and ensuring projects are delivered with a high level of quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance. 


The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare design and technical experience, a thorough understanding of healthcare codes and building systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, medical planners, consultants, and clients. This individual serves as the technical lead throughout project delivery, ensuring design intent is maintained while supporting efficient project execution and successful construction outcomes. 


Responsibilities: 



  • Lead the technical development, coordination, and production of project documentation throughout all phases of design and construction. 



  • Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty consultants to ensure an integrated, accurate, and technically sound set of construction documents. 



  • Resolve complex technical design challenges while maintaining project goals, design intent, constructability, and regulatory compliance. 



  • Oversee drawing production, specifications, detailing, and quality control to support a coordinated and complete project deliverable. 



  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to support project schedules, technical milestones, and consultant coordination. 



  • Coordinate permitting activities and interface with authorities having jurisdiction throughout permitting and construction. 



  • Lead technical review of RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and other construction administration activities to support successful project delivery. 



  • Mentor junior team members and promote technical excellence, consistency, and best practices across project teams. 


Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field required. 



  • Professional licensure in Architecture required. 



  • Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience, including healthcare project experience. 



  • Demonstrated experience delivering healthcare renovation and ground-up projects through multiple phases of design and construction. 



  • Strong knowledge of healthcare planning principles, building codes, life safety requirements, accessibility standards, construction detailing, and building systems. 



  • Experience preparing and coordinating construction documents and providing construction administration services. 



  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and standard architectural documentation tools. 



  • Strong organizational, communication, and consultant coordination skills. 



  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional technical quality. 



  • LEED accreditation or other relevant credentials preferred.

Starting salary: $85,000 (The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and office location.)
