Pay: $45.53/hr

On-Site Role

Travel required:

Travel on an occasional basis with some overnight stays. Must have reliable transportation and be available for unplanned travel.

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Healthcare Protection Officer for their Healthcare Security Client in Southern California.

JOB SUMMARY:As part of the Regional Security Services team, the Healthcare Protection Officer (HPO) is responsible for the physical and personal security for members, staff, and visitors within the health care client facilities. This includes responding to emergency situations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations related to personnel, visitors, and premises. Protects staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards and interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace. The HPO will partner with security and clinical leaders to establish a unified care team to identify and mitigate security and workplace violence risks.

Facility Safety & Incident ResponseRespond to crimes in progress and take appropriate actionMake private person arrests when necessary and within policyLead Code Gray response teamsLead de-escalation effortsProvide a professional security presenceAct as a safety ambassador for the facilityProvide campus safety recommendationsLiaison with administrative and clinical leadershipEstablish and maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement

Required Experience3+ years: Security, military, or law enforcement-related experience.

Required EducationHS Diploma or GED

Required QualificationsAbility to pass physical aptitude test (PAT) which may include timed push-ups, sit-ups, physical agility assessment, and a life-sized dummy drag.Valid Driver’s LicenseCalifornia Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (BSIS) Guard Card

Minimum Qualifications at Entry:Be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone)The legal right to work in the United StatesPossess a valid government-issued driver’s license or state-issued I.D.An active state-issued guard cardSuccessfully pass the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal Background Check)Ability to properly wear an N95 mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines while on-site.Complete healthcare competency assessment and training on defusing assaultive behaviors
