Job Description - Healthcare Value Realization Analyst

HEALTHCARE VALUE REALIZATION ANALYST – CHESTERFIELD, MO

About Us

TAG is a healthcare business intelligence firm that helps health systems save money and make better purchasing and payment decisions across the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle. For over 35 years, we've partnered with healthcare organizations to reduce supply chain costs through data analytics, contract expertise, and operational consulting. Our team combines analytical thinking with a passion for helping hospitals maximize every purchasing dollar.

The Opportunity

As a Value Realization Analyst, you will help healthcare organizations maximize the value of their supplier agreements by ensuring negotiated pricing, rebates, freight, and other contractual commitments are fully realized.

This role goes far beyond contract review. You will analyze GPO agreements, pricing structures, purchasing data, and rebate programs to uncover recovery opportunities, influence future contract strategy, and help clients maximize the value of every agreement.

Every client presents a unique contracting landscape. If you enjoy solving complex analytical problems, working with large datasets, and uncovering opportunities others miss, you will thrive in this role.

This position is a hybrid (in office & remote) role. Candidates must be able to work in the corporate office in Chesterfield, MO for a minimum of three (3) days per week. During an approximate 30-day probationary period, in-office attendance will be full-time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Analyze Supplier Contracts: Review supplier and GPO agreements to validate pricing, rebates, freight, eligibility requirements, and other contractual commitments.

  2. Identify Recovery Opportunities: Compare contracts against purchasing activity, invoices, rebate payments, and other financial data to identify pricing discrepancies, missed rebates, overcharges, and future savings opportunities.

  3. Perform Advanced Financial Analysis: Conduct net-cost analyses, benchmark supplier performance, and evaluate total contract value across multiple pricing components.

  4. Support Contract Strategy: Assist clients in improving contract structure, strengthening negotiation positions, clarifying contract language, and maximizing long-term value.

  5. Develop Client Reporting: Prepare clear, concise analyses and recommendations that communicate contract findings, compliance issues, recovery opportunities, and strategic insights.

  6. Support TAG's Contract Analytics Platform: Maintain contract, supplier, pricing, rebate, and benchmark data that powers client reporting and future software capabilities.

  7. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Operations, Sales, Product Management, and client stakeholders to support contract reviews, demonstrations, solution design, and new service development.

  8. Continuous Learning: Stay current on healthcare contracting practices, GPO structures, supplier programs, and industry trends while participating in ongoing professional development.
