Health/Physical Education Teacher 2025-2026

Description

Health/ Physical education (P.E.) teachers plan, organize and deliver lessons consistent with the physical education curriculum of their students' grade level. This includes organizing skill development and game sessions for youth from kindergarten through high school. There is a focus on participation, cooperation and skill acquisition that furthers motor and cognitive as well as physical skills. Leadership and communication skills are also characteristic of a good physical education teacher. They often must demonstrate skills so remaining in shape and modeling good health is also critical. 

Requirements

• Two years of teaching experience with a record of high student achievement (preferred but not absolutely necessary)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with youth
• Teaching Credential in the corresponding field or willingness to seek credentialing if not already credentialed
