Heart Failure Transplant Physician (MD/DO)

Inova Schar Heart and Vascular is seeking a board certified/eligible Heart Failure / Transplant Cardiologist. Inova was the first heart transplant program in the Washington DC metropolitan area, providing excellent heart transplant care for more than 30 years.  The internationally recognized advanced heart failure program offers a wide variety of therapies including combined heart-lung and heart-kidney transplant, as well as ventricular assist devices and experimental therapeutics.  It comprises an elite team of board-certified Heart Failure / Transplant cardiologists and cardiac surgeons providing the highest level of comprehensive care. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our 13 Heart Failure / Transplant Cardiologist team. Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Cardiology and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure. 


• Experience: Successful completion of ACGME residency program.


• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.


• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start  


• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor


• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
