Heat Treat Material Handler - 3rd Shift

Description

• Operate overhead crane, forklift and other material handling equipment as needed to transport materials to and from the Heat Treat Department, prepare heat treat loads, load and unload furnaces and perform quench treatments according to procedures.
• Prepare heat treat loads in accordance with established Heat Treat Department procedures and job cards.
• Maintain the Heat Treat Department and hold area in orderly fashion. This includes monitoring skid inventories, oil tank equipment inspection, etc. Report equipment malfunctions or service needs to Heat Treat Operator/Facilitator. 
• Monitor furnace conditions and perform straightening duties as needed to support other department members.
• Accurately complete all department paperwork, including information on heat treatments and material movement (both computer and hand written).
• Assist and instruct new employees.

Requirements

• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must have or be able to obtain forklift license.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing material flow.
• Ability to handle a variety of detailed paperwork.
