Heaven’s Door Distillery Ambassador Job Description: 

We are looking to hire enthusiastic Heaven’s Door Distillery Ambassadors
to be the face and voice of our brand. You will serve as a storyteller, educator, and ambassador for our brand, leading guests through immersive tours.  

You'll also assist in our “bottle-your-own” bourbon experience, where guests hand-fill and label their own bottles straight from the barrel—a true memory-maker. Additional responsibilities include light retail and bar work to ensure guests receive a full-circle, premium bourbon experience.

will consistently deliver a first class memorable and enriching experience by leading engaging, informative, authentic, and informational tours and tastings. 

Heaven’s Door Distillery Ambassadors will be
responsible for leading all aspects of our consumer and trade experiences.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead engaging, informative tours through historic distillery grounds, showcasing the bourbon-making process, history, and brand legacy. 

• Facilitate our “Bottle-Your-Own” bourbon experience, guiding guests through the filling, labeling, and sealing of personalized bottles. 

• Conduct bourbon tastings with accuracy, enthusiasm, and hospitality. 

• Greet and assist visitors in the gift shop and bottle shop; answer product questions and recommend merchandise. 

• Support bar service by preparing and serving cocktails or neat pours, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area. 

• Assist with point-of-sale transactions, restocking inventory, and maintaining retail displays. 

• Participate in special events, private tastings, and VIP tours. 

• Follow all legal and safety protocols related to alcohol service and guest safety. 

• Continuously learn and communicate brand knowledge, production details, and bourbon history. 

Additional
Qualifications: 

• Must be 21 years of age or older 

• Positive, hospitable, dependable, and team-focused individuals with a high level of customer service understanding and experience 

• Candidate must be certified or willing to become a certified Bourbon Steward through Stave and Thief 

• Complete STAR training and follow responsibility practices without exception 

• Able to lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis 

• Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, squat and bend as this position requires a combination of mobility throughout the shift 

• Able to stand for a long period of time 

• Creative thinker who can manage change 

• The ability to learn and remember all aspects of the distillery and
  bourbon-making process 

• Must be able to work efficiently in a high-paced setting 

• Ability to work enthusiastically with a wide demographic of guests 

• Excellent time management skills 

• Food and beverage, event, and/or tour guide experience is desired. Prior knowledge of distilled spirits is preferred 

• Provide genuine, friendly, courteous, professional service to all team members, distributors, partners and guests 

• Utilization of problem-solving skills during unexpected situations 

• Constant Communication with team members and Leadership 

• Shuttle guests to/from the distillery as needed 

• Gain an understanding of Visitor Center operations, tour rotation, guidelines and best practices 

• Gain an understanding of Brand history and portfolio 

Experience 

• 3+ years of experience in bar/spirits industry preferred 

• 3+ years of experience in customer service/tourism or similar 

• Strong communication and time management skills  

• Computer literate-ability to process sales and payment using Point of Sale system

• Thursday through Monday
