Diagnose Transmission Issues: Perform comprehensive diagnostics using specialized equipment to identify and troubleshoot transmission-related issues in Ford vehicles.
Transmission Repairs and Replacements: Repair or replace faulty components, including gears, clutches, and fluid systems, to restore transmission functionality.
Conduct Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on Ford transmissions to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Document Work Performed: Maintain accurate and detailed records of services provided, parts used, and repairs made for customer records and warranty purposes.
Collaborate with Service Team: Work closely with other technicians, service advisors, and parts departments to ensure efficient and accurate repairs and services..
Certified Transmission Technician: Completion of an accredited automotive technician program; Ford-specific training or certification is a plus.
Experience with Ford Vehicles: Experience working on Ford transmissions, with a solid understanding of Ford's transmission systems and repair procedures.
Strong Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to assess transmission performance and identify issues.
Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise and detailed repairs to meet high standards for safety and performance.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members to explain issues and recommendations clearly.
