Chappell Tractor has an opening for an experienced Heavy Equipment Low Bed/Ramp CDL A Truck Driver at our Milford, NH location. The position involves pickup and delivery of construction equipment and compact tractors using a manual transmission low bed and ramp truck including oversized and overweight loads. The pickup and deliveries are mostly runs within New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont. Drivers report in/out of our Milford location and are home nightly. Must be flexible regarding the work schedule willing to start early, work late and work Saturday mornings when needed.

Requirements

Looking for a mature individual who is patient, dependable and has an excellent driving record. 

Must be meticulous about cleanliness and routine maintenance on the trucks and makes safety the highest priority. Perform daily inspections of equipment and keep accurate logs and records. Knowledge of DOT regulations is mandatory. Driver is responsible for proper load securement and must adhere to traffic laws and regulations.

Must be able to operate a manual transmission and work independently.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a CDL A License and prior experience as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment to and from job sites. Must be in good health, have a medical examiners certificate, and pass all alcohol and controlled substance abuse testing.
