Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Travel: Minimal

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with 5+ years of experience and background in diesel, cranes and hydraulics to join our team. The role will focus on performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of heavy construction equipment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and cranes.


• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.


• Conduct routine service checks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.


• Maintain accurate service logs, parts usage records, and detailed repair reports.


• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies while using appropriate PPE.


• Collaborate with site supervisors and equipment operators to resolve equipment concerns efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.


• Prior diesel mechanic experience required.


• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting methods.


• Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals.


• ASE or other relevant certifications are a plus.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
