Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate Heavy Equipment vehicles safely and efficiently.


• Understand DOT standards and inspect vehicles to always be up to code.


• Operate skid steers, excavators, bull dozers, dump trucks, loaders, among other heavy equipment to efficiently break down structures, clear debris, and prepare sites for development.
  


• Experienced with excavation, grading, loading, hauling, backfilling, and material relocation tasks.


• Work in a variety of projects ranging from commercial, industrial, government, and military projects.


• Ability to operate machinery and perform labor tasks as needed.


• Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure proper functioning.


• Follow safety protocols and comply with all site regulations.


• Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.


• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members.


• Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

• Must have a Real ID, SS, and Birth Certificate.


• Clean Background. Or Able to get on base and have active badging.


• Meet Qualifications to get into our Company Auto Insurance.


• Experience with Manual Vehicles (Stick Shift) might be helpful.


• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

Licenses & Certifications:

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.


• CDL is preferred, but not required.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Location:

• Projects will be located all over the 757 cities, Military bases, and shipyards including Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News and Hampton.

Pay:

• $25-$32hr (Depending on Experience)
