Heavy Equipment Operator - Rail Services

The starting wage for this role is $29.70/hour with monthly bonus opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Operate locomotive

·        Switch railroad cars in a timely manner

·        Maintain records and reports

·        Band and secure railcars

·        Work with other rail served departments 

 
REQUIREMENTS:

·        Ability to walk tracks, check railcars and climb stairs

·        Must be able to qualify as a switch crew operator in a reasonable period of time

·        Ability to work in outside environment

·        Ability to work in a self-directed team environment

·        Must be a self-starter, organized, with problem solving skills  

·        Must have excellent oral communication skills

·        Good computer skills (Excel, Word, OIS)

·        Successful completion of ergonomics evaluation 

·        Experience in railroad switching and equipment operation preferred
