Heavy Equipment Technicians

Founded in 1981, Atlas Excavating, Inc., is a family owned and operated site grading and utility contractor dedicated to changing the perception of construction by building with integrity and treating everyone like family.

Due to our continued growth, Atlas Excavating is looking for experienced heavy equipment technicians to add to our staff.  Duties include performing repairs and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and making repair recommendations, and keeping a clean work area. Specifically, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment used in construction. Adjust, repair, and replace damaged or worn parts. Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches, and side booms. Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance. Test to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specs. 

The ideal individuals will possess an understanding of computer testing technologies, experience maintaining/repairing diesel and gas engines and hydraulics, skilled in the use of hand/power tools, and the ability to work weekends/after-hours if required. Certification as a heavy equipment technician is a plus.
