Heavy Line Technician

Job Description

Fairway Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Main Line Technician with strong diagnostic skills to join our service department. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives on solving complex problems, working efficiently, and delivering high-quality repairs that meet Ford standards.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on Ford and other vehicles

  
  


• 
  

  Handle all engine service work including engines

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for additional service

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate findings clearly to Service Advisors and document work performed on repair orders

  
  


• 
  

  Stay current with Ford factory training, technical bulletins, and diagnostic equipment

  
  


• 
  

  Follow dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and safety

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in mentoring and supporting junior technicians when needed

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  2+ years of automotive technician experience (Ford dealership experience strongly preferred)

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  
  


• 
  

  OEM certifications preferred; Ford certifications are a strong plus

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to operate modern diagnostic tools and repair software

  
  


• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent required

  
  


• 
  

  Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
