Average Daily Volume: 15-18 patients
Admissions: None - 100% consultant
Rounding: Assigned patients
Phone Consults: 5-6 per week
Case Mix: 70% Oncology, 30% Hematology

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE
Licenses: Active IN license
DEA: Active DEA
Certification: BLS
No paid or pending malpractice claims; No actions reported on NPDB
Gaps of less than 6 months
Able to provide 3-4 professional references
Fellowship: Required

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide outpatient oncology and hematology care in clinic setting Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Manage hospital consults during call weeks, including new patient consultations and rounding on existing patients.
Participate in call rotation every 4th or 5th week, providing coverage weekdays and weekends for emergent consults.
Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners who round on existing patients, ensuring continuity of care.
Adhere to 60-day notification for agreement cancellation and 45-day advanced notice for PTO to maintain staffing continuity.
