Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN)- Travel Position  
Location: Greensboro, NC
Job Type: Travel Contract   
Duration: 13 weeks  
Shift: 3x12s Nights 
Pay: $1845/week  

Job Description:  

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert care to patients with end-stage renal disease or acute kidney injury. This specialized role involves managing the hemodialysis process from start to finish, including patient assessment, dialysis machine operation, and patient monitoring. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong clinical judgment and a commitment to patient safety and education. This role requires a nurse who is both technically proficient and compassionate, building strong relationships with patients who require long-term treatment.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Perform pre- and post-dialysis patient assessments, including vital signs and fluid status.


• Initiate and discontinue hemodialysis treatments according to established protocols.


• Operate and troubleshoot dialysis machines and related equipment.


• Administer medications and fluid replacement as prescribed.


• Monitor patients throughout the dialysis process for any adverse reactions or complications.


• Educate patients and their families on their treatment plan, dietary restrictions, and self-care.


• Collaborate with nephrologists and the interdisciplinary team to create and adjust patient care plans.


• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all dialysis treatments and patient responses.

Qualifications:  

• Active RN license in North Carolina.


• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.


• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Hemodialysis or Nephrology nursing experience.


• Strong knowledge of fluid and electrolyte balance and renal failure pathophysiology.


• COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
