Preamble

Boston College High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, independent school serving approximately 1400 young men across grades 7-12 from various communities across Massachusetts. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Three-quarter teaching position including a total of 3 high school and middle school Mandarin Chinese courses.
• Commitment to collaborating with colleagues in curriculum design and teaching practices.
• Commitment to increasing the enrollment in the Mandarin Chinese program. 
• Lead a small group advisory.

Requirements

 SELECTION CRITERIA

• Fluency in Mandarin.
• Master’s Degree in Mandarin preferred, but not required. 
• Experience teaching high school and middle school students. 
• A commitment to providing an immersive language experience in the classroom.
• Strong and sincere engagement in professional development in both pedagogy and content area.
• High standards and expectations for students.
• Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
• Knowledge and commitment around diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
