High School ELA Teacher
Summary
We are looking to hire an English instructor with a proven track record of instructing students from middle school through high school in English. Teaching reading, writing, and speaking abilities will fall within the purview of the English instructor.
Responsibilities
Adapt and implement a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
Make use of data to inform instructional decisions
Give students daily feedback on their performance and plan for individual learning needs
Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture
Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
Maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
Effectively manage a classroom with up to 25 students

Technology Skills
Competence in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use a variety of computer applications and platforms. Ability to use basic office equipment. Knowledge and experience in using a computer-based student Information Management system.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degreeRequired
Masters degree Preferred
Missouri Substitute Certification Required
Valid Missouri Teacher Certification content specific to role applied for,StronglyPreferred or willingness to become certified ASAP.
3+ years of teaching experience Preferred
Satisfactory completion of criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable.
Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.
Starting Salary: From $48,000 annually based on experience

Schedule:
In-person teaching Monday through Friday 7:30am 4:00pm
Some weekends and evenings will be required
Ability to commute/relocate:
Saint Louis, MO 63118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required). Please note, this is not a remote position. All Kairos teachers are required to deliver in-person instruction onsite, in our school in St. Louis
