High School Language Arts Teacher

Position Summary:

MC Prep is seeking men and women who are commissioned by God to serve as educators and pastors of the classroom. We are seeking a passionate and spiritually grounded 9–12 Language Arts Teacher who is called to disciple the next generation through the lens of biblical truth and academic excellence. The ideal candidate will be committed to cultivating a love for literature, writing, and critical thinking, while integrating a biblical worldview into all aspects of instruction.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Born again, spirit-filled believer


• Active member of a Bible-believing church


• Prioritizes growing in a relationship with Jesus Christ through daily personal encounters
  


• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.


• Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain one (ACSI certification a plus).


• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a Christian or private school setting.


• Strong knowledge of high school English curriculum, literature, and writing instruction.


• Able to receive and apply feedback in the pursuit of excellence


• Strong, proactive work ethic


• Personable with great communication skills


• Collaborative, flexible, goal-driven personality

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach high school English Language Arts courses (Literature, Writing, Grammar, and Communication) aligned with state standards and school objectives.


• Create engaging, Spirit-led, and academically rigorous lesson plans that integrate biblical principles.


• Cultivate a classroom culture that fosters spiritual growth, critical thinking, creativity, and respect.


• Assess student progress regularly through assignments, projects, presentations, and assessments.


• Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to align curriculum, instruction, and school-wide goals.


• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents.


• Participate in school events, staff meetings, chapel services, and professional development.


• Serve as a spiritual mentor and model Christlike character in all interactions.
